Go Green Go Gardening 2 Sep 8, 2020 Projects This youth exchange has been inspired but he participants of the Share your story! Youth exchange we hosted at Catfarm in June 2018. The participants often asked questions about the garden at Catfarm, how we grow our food, and how we get the food from locals that we cook for meals. We realised that many things are unknown to youth, that their connection to nature is missing, and that they are curious about how food is produced and what journey it takes to end up on the table. Totem R.I.S.E. (Rural Introspective & Spiritual Evolution) Feb 10, 2020 Projects “Totem R.I.S.E.” is a concrete follow-up to the youth exchange “EuRoB.I.N. Food” , which took place in Amsterdam in 2018. During that project, participants experienced a deep spiritual connection with food, as well as with the rituals, religious beliefs, and cultural values connected to it. As food was recognized as a fundamental element of culture, participants began researching its origins and traditions, discovering that many typical dishes and food-related customs originate from—and are still preserved in—rural areas. The Trade Tent Sep 23, 2018 Projects In 2018, we brought The Trade Tent to six public events, from a maritime festival in Brest and the Vrijland festival to community spaces in Amsterdam like the Vondelbunker and OCCII. The setup was simple and face-to-face: we offered a physical object, and in return, people gave us a story, a memory, or an experience they wanted to share. They left with the object as a prompt, along with an open invitation to pass the practice on by trading an object of their own for someone else’s story. Some of those conversations continued on Facebook. Completed social experiment Read more
