From 30/09/21 to 08/10/21,TwoPlusTwo Association hosted the Use-less project, an Erasmus+ Youth Exchange Program, for which we at Adventures of the Valparaíso were a partner association.
The main aim was to raise awareness among young people to adopt more sustainable lifestyles. The exchange provided rich content and was a valuable experience: sharing personal approaches on the one hand and, on the other, grasping recent sustainable dynamics at the European level.
What does “sustainability” mean today? Is it possible to imagine a more sustainable world, starting with our daily routine? These are the key questions to start with, and we tried to answer them through workshops, debates, and simulation activities on climate change, recycling, and the circular economy, linked to outdoor activities and an active-learning approach.
The project was based on the Association’s mission, which has promoted non-formal activities for young adults within Erasmus+ Youth Exchange Programs for years, promoting cultural differences with a view to mutual exchange of ideas and lifestyles. It is not enough to think about sustainability: we are supposed to act sustainably, aware that the world changes with our example. Not with our words only.
