In 2018, we brought The Trade Tent to six public events, from a maritime festival in Brest and the Vrijland festival to community spaces in Amsterdam like the Vondelbunker and OCCII. The setup was simple and face-to-face: we offered a physical object, and in return, people gave us a story, a memory, or an experience they wanted to share. They left with the object as a prompt, along with an open invitation to pass the practice on by trading an object of their own for someone else’s story. Some of those conversations continued on Facebook.
