We understand that a root cause of the global crisis is that we are living out the dream of separation in an interconnected world. BEING HUMAN, we always participate with our very beingness, whether we are conscious of it or not. Which means that awareness and conscious participation matter!

With this training, we invite youth workers to co-write new empowering stories: HUMANKIND. What would Belonging, Participation, and Transformation mean if we are living in an interconnected world?

HumanKind proposes practices that support a return to felt sense and a deeper connection to our participation in life. Through deep listening, group work processes, embodied experiences, and artistic expression, youth workers and young people can rediscover their inner landscapes, creative contribution, and intrinsic belonging.

How do I participate? What is my impact, and how am I impacted?   What are the qualities I value and care for that I would love to live in my life? What does it mean to be human?

Our aim is to empower youth workers with a diverse set of skills, fostering authentic participation, self-expression, and creative, collaborative learning experiences. We aim to support their personal and professional growth, enabling them to better support and guide the youth they work with and promoting community engagement and transformation.

This Training is based on a Non-Formal and Experiential Learning approach. This asks participants to engage in their own learning process and be participatory and highly interactive. We want to hear your voice and believe that we learn the most in a collective learning space - where we co-create, experiment, and share.

    LEARNING OUTCOMES

    • Increase self-awareness, collective care, and a deeper sense of self-trust and agency
    • Participants will enhance their capacity to guide groups through creative processes, dive deeper into collective exploration, and create transformative learning experiences.
    • Deepen their competence in creating nature-based activities and a sense of connection with the natural world.
    • Facilitating inclusive art spaces: Youth workers will gain the ability to create inclusive art spaces where all young people feel welcome, appreciated, and inspired. They will encourage a culture of mutual respect and support for diverse groups.
    • Youth workers will acquire competences that foster sustainable leadership, empowering them to guide youth in becoming active agents of positive change within their communities.
    • Participants will develop the skills to create safe, inclusive environments where open dialogue, empathy, and connection are prioritized.
    • Acquiring resources for increased resilience as youth workers and in personal life
    • Develop skills and techniques to facilitate creative processes, participatory and inclusive learning experiences utilizing deep listening, embodiment, and art in groups
